Civil rights for the LGBTQ community are a politically charged issue, making it unimaginable to make sure stability and safety round these fundamental human wants. As the mother or father of a transgender young grownup, I am hyper-aware of stories stories that describe heinous assaults on LGBTQ folks. I am frightened of the chance that my baby might be overwhelmed or killed by ignorant and violent people.
